Latest acquisition.
Turns over fine, won't start Place I bought it from said it started then cut out I'm thinking fuel pump Changed relay for known good one Does 10v pump straight swap? I've a good one here I could try Not had time check spark etc but will go through usual suspects! |

pump should prime for a couple of seconds when the ignition is turned on.
If you cant hear that, then either the pump is faulty or the pump isn't getting 12v - fuse or relay normally

Check the distributor just in case the gear has snapped thats what killed mine on one occassion, if not the 10v pump is direct fit for testing purpose.

Swapped pump over and started straight away (well, after me forgetting plug pump into tank cover top!
Spent half hour dissecting VAG aftermarket alarm and checking dizzy first Just needs a wash before I dare it to fail an MOT |
