Default Audi 100 turbo needs TLC
Seller Type : Private
Vehicle Make : Audi
Vehicle Model : Type44 100 saloon turbo fwd auto
Price : £600
Location : Slough
Additional Details : V5C (Logbook)

Now I have actually bought another car this is now for sale.

Model: saloon 100 turbo
Engine: 2.2 10v 5cyl turbocharged
Gearbox: auto
Year: 1990
Colour: white
Body condition: almost mint
Interior condition: mint, but roof lining starting to sag
Glass: front screen has a crack, needs new screen
MOT: no
Tax: no
V5: yes

The car has been looked after since 1990, its a very nice car but sadly personal issues mean I will no longer see this project finished. Not been on the road for over 1 year but starts fine and warms up well, fan kicks in, no over heating.

Work carried out

Rear wheel bearings
Cam-belt kit
Water pump
Cam followers
Rocker cover gasket
Engine mount
Aux belts
3 spoke steering wheel
New discs front/rear
Pads front/rear
Calipers
Caliper carriers at rear
Brake hoses
Rear copper brake section either side
Master cylinder
Accumulator
All fluids including auto box
Tyres new 1 year a go, done about 500 miles

Bad bits

Roof lining starting to sag
Speedo jumps from cold, tap glass and its fine
Manifold blowing, goes away when rpm is above 1200-1500
Crack in windscreen, happened in the heat
No heated washer jets

The worst problem is that the brakes, although new, are very spongy due to not being bled properly, didnt seem to work via an 'Easy Bleed' for me. I have spoken to a company who deal with classics, who's experience on these cars suggests the ABS pump needs pulsing/pumping via a computer the same time its being pneumatically bled.
At the moment the pedal clicks when you press it and is spongy.

[climate] It may need re-gassing, the car has been run most weeks, moved about in private garage block, until the fan kicks in 3 times, but climate not been on.

When I bought the car there was a stack of paperwork I looked through, when I went to pick it up the guy was packing and moving abroad and said it must of got packed away with some stuff he said he would post it but never did, I chased it up and received a small amount, rest got lost

The mileage is 106601, the engine and box are 100%.

No tax, No MOT.

Not really much else to say, be a shame to see it go, owes me £3000.

Would make a great car for someone.

Don't think I have forgotten anything.

Thanks for looking

Andy

Please PM for phone number, thanks

Thanks

It is a shame indeed, I am very gutted.

5yrs off work due to illness has seen me struggle with money, I have been driving a Saxo for a while which is almost dead. My friend sold me his 1 owner, 80k, 54 plate Golf GT-TDi 150 PD for a very good price, I used the last of my savings and bought it. I need reliability now mate for hospital. Haven't got the time, money or energy to sort this 100

I think its a good deal considering whats been done already.

Thanks dude

Noticed some paint discolouring issues on O/S rear quarter when cleaning the 100 today, need to adjust price because of this.

Needs viewing if interested. £500 firm

Thanks
