Default Audi door rings?

While I wait for my v888 form to come back so I can get some dealer plates made I am toying with the idea of putting the door ring decals back on my B3.

It came with them but they got removed getting the drivers door etc sorted.

What do you guys think of them on a B3, looking at lots of photos they don't seem to feature that heavily?!

Being a black car I'll match what was previously fitted by getting the silver fade effect, does anyone know the dimensions and fitting measurements for the B3?

Looking at these but open to suggestions:

I wouldn't, if it was my car. It is far too nice to put that sort of shyte on it.

Your dealer plates in the correct font will look fantastic, can't wait to see it with them fitted.

Keep it clean.....no rings

It's funny that in the e-bay advert the rings look photo-shopped onto the 90.....suggesting they shouldn't really be there!?

Funny that the topic of rings has come up as was discussing the subject with the welder only 48 hours ago the merits and reasons ( I thought ) for the rings.
In the '80's , I was under the impression the 4 rings denoted the quattro brand, but quite a few folk latched onto the look and had them retro fitted to their standard cars...I did to my Coupes.
Now, with my 80 Sport having a set on it, I wonder at the wisdom of re-applying after the re-spray job....I'm erring towards no rings...Decisions decisions!!
