Same happens with airfields. Some idiot buys a nice looking farmhouse that happens to be close to an airfield, and all of a sudden, the airfield is facing restrictions.

Anarchy is increasingly attractive

I see it all the time at work. Last example was a city couple buying up an old farm - spent millions refurbing it, a byway open to all traffic runs by it, and now they want hcc to put a tro on it (traffic regulation order) because they dont want the noise of motorbikes, 4x4s, even the gamekeeper on his quad.

By the way totally agree with the petition and have signed it.

Same goes for people who buy/move in to housing that is next to nightclubs/night life in a town and then bitch about it.

There was a club called the vic (victoria rooms) , been there since 1865 and was a dance venue for the local youth for long before my time.. but local residents would complain about the music late at night, despite knowing full well it was there and had been there for quite some time before they moved there.

Sounds harsh.. but I also feel the same about people who moan after moving into an area inside a known flood plain. Live upstairs or something... or dont move there in the first place!?
