Default temp sender ur 20v

looking for info on a single pin temp sender in the back of the 20v rr head, sits below the2 pin white/black warm up sensor, i think mine is going duff as it is giving me high gauge readings and does it combine with the muti function swith to the temp gauge and therefore reducing boost? if i disconnect the single pin the gauge reads normal,oh the rr engine is in a big dash 200q, any help appreciated ,
should clarify
no boost leaks
or codes on vag com

Do you need a replacement part or are you after info on what it does ?

Not sure on the 20v quattro application. On the S2 and other 20v installs, the gauge is controlled by the 4 pin MFTS.

Do you have all 4 wires going to the MFTS plug populated ?
