Default Wanted: Audi 80 B2 Diesel

Hi,

I'm looking for an Audi 80 diesel B2, any year considered up to 1986.
Clean examples preferably but I will consider all cars. I do realise there aren't too many of these left so I realise I may not get any replies! I'm based in Ireland but I will travel to the UK, no problem.

I will be at the Classic car show at the NEC in Birmingham 16th November along with a few lads who are members on this forum.

THanks

Barry

I hope you unearth another one.
In the time whilst I've ran this forum, I've seen 3 appear....

in nearly 7 years!

they are out there though!

as Coxy said very hard come by , was after one myself but any that popped up over here were either priced way over the odds or past saving , a few series 2s were about down south in the last few years but needing usual b2 work ,, the very best i sen for sale over here was a red series 1 in Derry about 3/4yrs ago and it was 1700stg at the time , not seen it since

I had a '86 B2 TD which I sold last year and now have 89 B3 TD which is still the 1600 turbo diesel but so much more a better car.

The B2 TD was slow and felt very old but the B3 TD drives like an Audi should - sits in the outside lane on the motorway no problem oh and it comes with power steering & electric windows

Hi. Thanks for your reply. That's a good description you give regarding the difference between the 86 and 89 Audi 80's.. I'm looking for that old, slower non Power steering experience of the B2 type! lol

I'm still in the market for an Audi 80 diesel B2 if anyone knows where there might be one hiding!

THanks again

i had an audi in blue c reg had a look at restoring it but it was too far gone ,a string of thick owners who had ruined a nice rare car some twat cut the roof out which made the shell as floppy as a kite such a shame !! the arches had been hammered in to make clearance for a set of chav rims big crys , then to make it worse lowered and stiffened suspension was fitted to a flexible car ! i even found a packet of johnnys strawberry flavour when i stripped the interior out think that says it all shame on you all who wrecked this car !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! rip eric
