Default revs but no power

Hi guys. I have a problem, again. When I accelerate revs increases, but there is no power. Feels like there is a blockage somewhere, but I've checked vacuum system and that's all fine. No electric errors either. I thought that might be cat, but it doesn't happen always, occasionally.

I would say that your clutch is slipping..

I thought that, but there is no smell. If I push it to 3000 revs in first gear it should smell but it doesn't.

Still I would say it's your clutch, can't think of anything else when revs increase but there is no power to the wheels. Might just be me though

Agree with the others, increase in revs without increase in speed = clutch slipping. (assuming youre in gear ) Had this on a couple of cars, always clutch even with no smell.

I really hoped someone will tell me different
Another thing I have is the way it revs when stationary. If I rev it, revs jump but comes down quite slowly, but sometimes they jump and comes down quickly. Maybe someone here can make a video of how theirs 2.6 revs?

I don't have my 2.6 anymore so cant video it for you, but it revved up and down very smoothly and was always consistent UNTIL the Idle Control Valve was on its way out and then it would rev very randomly sometimes it would hold revs at 1800rpm other times it would be 1200rpm and then it would just go back to normal.

As for the clutch, have you noticed over time if the biting point was very high or the revs would climb and the car slow when accelerating in 4th or 5th? Does the pedal feel nice and smooth or is there any notchiness in the travel?

I see you have 2.8, that is quite similar? I changed the Idle Control Valve, but it was a cheap one. It does climb very slowly sometimes when accelerating in 4th/5th gear, also I have noticed that sometimes it depends on how I take off, sometimes it will be ok, sometimes even 1.2l Peugeot will be faster.

Here are some pictures of where the vacuum tubes go;

And here are two videos of what I mean about them revs;

I am another person thinking clutch. If you take the car onto the road and sit at 30mph in 5th then put your foot down flat, what happens with speed/revs until it gets to the redline?
