Default Alternator pulley removal help

Anyone know how to remove the pulley from an A4 or Passat alternator. Got hold of a spare alternator for mine but noticed pulley offset different when I fitted it, so need to swap them over. But not obvious how these clutch type pulleys come off?! Help, wife going out tomorrow and no car... not a happy bunny!
