Default Powder coating kit.

No longer of use to me but it has served well!

Comes with about a half kilo of cast aluminum colour powder, some bright red, chrome, gloss black and clear powders ( opened and used).

Looking for £70 plus postage.
Current retail from Frosts is £125.

Or you can use a heat gun or infra red lamp dependant on the size of the item

Hiya, yes basically.

You apply the powder with the gun at very low pressure its only about 10psi max so its dusted on and the powders statically charged by the high voltage unit.
That attracts it to the piece being coated which is earthed back to the high voltage source and so you get little wastegae.
I usually do it against painters plastic which is clean so the excess powder can be collected, but really most all of it goes on the item being coated.

I used it on Mickys current build, Coxys 7A and "Ralf's" (1968 variant) engine build amongst others.
I like it because its quick and clean compared to other paint methods, its hard as hell and as soon as its cooled you can use the part youve just coated but since im no longer into it someone else might as well put it to good use.

JJ is as ever correct, i did a small part with a heat gun as a test but ideally youd want it in the oven to get the powder at temperature long enough to cure properly.

Inside leg is 34, copping a feel by appointment only.

Hard to say how much coverage is actually left, but i can tell you this, i did all of ralfs alloys ( sump, rocker cover, mounts, manifold- coxys 7a rocker, oil pump, and various other bits i cant recall, mickeys aan cam cover, intake manifold, engine mounts etc) and ive still got a half kilo of powder left, so it goes pretty far.
Having said that the powders available from frosts or eastwood, probably others and its not really expensive compared to two pack piants.

prep up requires alloys to be prehheated to remove gases trapped in pores from oxide (good cleaning needed such as blasting so no more than ordinary paints really) and wiping down with panel wipe to ensure the contaminants are removed before coating.

Its got to be simple, even i can use it.

you can't (shouldn't) use a domestic oven, it's toxic
