Default B3 16 pin OBD adapter ?

I've just acquired this, can someone confirm that the black plug goes to black connector on the car and the white plug goes to brown.
Many thanks, car is a B3 20V.

That is correct John.

is your car a tubular manifold car or a cast ?

I've never managed to get Vag Com working on a tubular manifold / early ecu car

My car's running great but would be nice to know of any fault codes or gremlins !?
