Engine code?

U think wrong ECU doesn't switch + ECU only switches ground. In case of SD/3A/NG, there is two additional fuses in fuse box, covered with "motor/moteur" plastic thing. One of them supplies power to ISV/Lambda heating/Fuel tank ventilation valves.

the engine code is ku071572 its a 2226 cc. the valve sits on top of the engine in a rubber grommet.i can power it from a seperate live and it works but not from the car wireing. the fuse box dont help, unless its part of another fuse powering something else?

So it's KU engine... Well, it's KV's twin, so it isn't as advanced as KV. Problem is - theese shematics I'm using is american, their engines was more advanced to comply emission laws I don't remember, was there seperate ISV control unit or wasnt... Anyway, when ignition is turned on, there must be +12v on one wire.
Are u sure u doesn't have any additional fuses in fuse box?
