Default Coupe 2.6E Hot Air Box?

Howdy all,

Only owned my coupe for a few weeks, but I've noticed that once the engine gets hot she starts to lose power. Like I did some motorway driving, but once I come off onto normal roads I can feel it's not pulling as hard as it does when it's cooler.

A friend said is may be because the airbox is getting too hot, so I changed the panel filter for a Pipercross, but it hasn't really made any difference. Anyone know if this is a common problem?

Thanks, Tarq

What is "pipercross"?

Get faults read first. Wouldn't be surprised if it would turn out that lambda sender is dead.

Yeah, its supposed to let the engine breathe 30-odd% better.

I haven't had a look at faults, but will be at a mini meet on Sunday and I think someone said they'll be taking whatever you need to read faults, so hopefully can find out then!

Nope, she's all standard apart from the panel filter, and I got a custom stainless from a local company made up today.

I'm hoping it is the sensor problem, makes life easier!
