Default Wanted: Audi 80 Cabriolet 2.3

Not many of these around I think, but I just love the old 2.3 5 pot engines.

What a shame, I have just sold my 20v turbo cabriolet! That would have been right up your street

Thanks for the links guys! Does anyone know the one that is up for sale on piston heads? Looks it might be a good one. Tonks4x4 - can I ask how much you sold yours for and what the condition was like?

It can only be described as mint. It had full paint, hard and soft top, full black heated leather and new carpets, all S2 interior, steering wheel, clocks, trip computer and wiring. S2 projector headlamps, S2 front bumper and of course a 220bhp Audi S2 20v turbo conversion

It sold for £3000

See what you mean - can't imagine there being too many of the s2 conversions. I would have bought that off you immediately. Any scuttle shake issues with this sort of power?

3K for that and still had a hard time selling it right?
I bought my 2.8 cabriolet for more than that and that was very reasonable priced.

The scuttle shake was only the same when you hit a pot hole. The increase in power made no noticeable difference to the car other than hard to get traction in the wet.

The other option is look for a nice 2.3 5 cylinder cabriolet. Find an S2 engine and get it stuck in
