Default One for JJ.

Spotted this beauty on Pistonheads. Shame about the non standard exhaust, but otherwise, I like this a lot. http://www.pistonheads.com/SALES/3551770.htm

First one is Gary's car , he's a dealer with one or two nice cars and just sold his 1600i that was in the concourse last year at donnington. That went for a similar figure iirc and had done about 40k
Nicey nicey car

A work colleague from many years ago had one of these series one cars.
Took me for a ride in it round the block.
Bloody hell, did it shift.
Scared the proverbial shyte out of me with it, but that might have been the dodgy overtake.....
He eventually wrecked it after taking it for a run along pendine sands is it? got airborne and did some terminal damage to various aspects of the suspension and shell...Muppet.

Its a real pity theres not that many of them around any longer. I miss the 80's cars of that nature.

I've always liked them but must admit the one I drove on stock power levels disappointed me compared to the one that had the boost turned up slightly (stage one remap levels)

First one looks good but I find most cars from scotland will never be as good as a similar car down south due to the climate etc.

that second link looks like a good waste of money to sort a lot of bits you'd expect to be fine.
love the comments body's fine then he mentioned it had/has major rot to major areas

they are a bit limp wristed in standard form tbh , mines running a mild chip and one or two other things and does indeed scamper along now ive sussed the pinking lark out after a bit off fiddling. They were built like baked bean tins hence they rotted like fook so a solid one is hard to find unless restored or uber low miles . I know myself and a passenger commented that we would rather not have a thump in one of em though as they feel a tad fragile
