Hey all,
Anyone else got satin paint? If so how do you care for it? I realise tree sap and bird shite must be cleaned off ASAP to prevent marking, but can you wax it? Or is there anything you need to do to treat it to keep it nice and neat? I'm never going to be concours but I do like things neat...

It depends how its been painted. Is it satin paint or has it been painted then lacquered with a flattening agent added to the lacquer?
If its just satin paint you can't really do much. If you polish it, it will become gloss, if you wax it, it'll look patchy. Basically all you can do is wash it. On the other hand, if it's paint with flat lacquer on it, you can care for it like any other paint finish |
