Default imac

on a lighter note...
we got a new apple imac on Friday.
So far so good, and I seem to have got everything set up and working fairly well so far.
Anyone got any tips on using a mac compared with a pc??

Tip 1:

Turn on, and enjoy using a computer without it freezing, hanging and generally screwing up before your eyes!!

one of the things i was unsure about was is it necessary to use an anti virus program with an apple, and fig so any recommendations?

I have not used, and neither has anyone that I know with a Mac recommended me to use, any AV program.
There will be lots of counter arguments forthcoming, but in the main, these will be from a select few people with a horrendous bias.

I've just been searching through the help sections and the basic advice is don't download any non-apple software and you'll be ok.
