For the first time in 8 years of ownership I decided to completely remove the 'detachable' sunroof and use the holder in the boot. No rain was forecast, thought give it a go.
What a load of crap! Severe wind vibration noise on the A303 and didn't really make much difference, just got a very hot head. What were Audi thinking when they came up with zeese great idea? Why not just make a sunroof that rises more than 1 inch or a sliding roof??? Rant over, oh and it was a pig to put the roof back on as well, even with the help of the original manual - definitely a nack. Not that I'm going to bother again. One last thing to rant about - hardly looks cosmetically good, just looks like the roofs falling off, leaving the mech and pin bits.
