Anyone used Bilthamber's Auto Balm?
Someone recommended it for rejuvinating 'dry' looking metallic paint finish. ![]() |

there's been some talk on Bilthambers products over on detailing world. Only problem is that if you listened to every recommendation and then bought it, you'd end up been a very poor man! |

Yep!Use it!
Did a black 480 Turbo with it,used the Auto Clay and then the Auto Balm. Drove it to the show the next day and she looked like glass. Very very good stuff, their corrosion protection stuff is second to none. Steve ![]()

I was just about to post the question about what wax to use for my cars & now after reading this, I don't need to bother!
I was tempted by Autobalm but I always use Autoglym for everything and I see they've brought out a hard wax too... Think I'll get the Autobalm one because I also want the cavity wax that they do aswell. Never again will I use 'Waxoyl' from the bits & pieces I've read about rust protection - and for the protection - or lack of - it provided to one of my cars. Any one have reports on the Autoglym wax yet before I make my final decision? |

I take it you're on about the new Hi Definition wax?
I've not used it but know a number of detailers who have and whilst it's not a bad wax, it's not as hard wearing as something like Collinite 915, which for a low priced wax, is leaps and bounds better then the Autoglym hi-def. or you could try one of the colour charged waxes from Dodo Juice. Don't have the longevity of Collinte but they give give that little bit extra on the shine front. |

Well after much deliberation I ordered a tin of Autobalm along with various other items from Bilt Hamber... clay bars, cavity wax & rust removing gel (the latter not for the Audi I should add!).
Since delivery on Friday I've clayed & waxed 2 cars both with tremendous results! ![]() Whilst I can't say if this is a better product than the likes of the alternatives mentioned above, its certainly far superior to the likes of Autoglym Super Resin polish that I've been using up until now. Polish vs Wax... there is NO contest. Another reason for me going ahead & buying from Bilt Hamber is their environmental policy & most of the stuff seems to be biodegradeable & such like - I'm a bit of a eco-warrior... excepting of course that I drive a 2.6 ltr car! ![]() |
