Registration Number: D777 DPF
Chassis Number: WAUZZZ85ZHA900136

First shown at the 1980 Geneva Motor Show, the Audi Quattro was really a road and rally car – and was the first rally car to take advantage of the then-new rules which allowed the use of four-wheel drive in rallying. The Quattro shared the body style and many of its components with the Audi Coupe, but along with the characteristic flared wheel arches, the model also had independent suspension and was powered by a 2100cc turbo engine. A red version was immortalised in the BBC television series Ashes to Ashes (2008 – 2010).
This example has been in the current ownership for over five years, for use as a second ‘fun’ car and even a wedding car!
The Audi is described as being in good, sound condition with a good panel fit, although apparently it could benefit from some cosmetic work. We have been told that the rev counter display has an intermittent fault. The interior is black leather and does require some re-stitching.
We are informed that the mechanics are in good order: the braking system has been overhauled, the exhaust system is in stainless steel and the turbo unit has been fitted with a ‘dump’ valve.
The Quattro is fitted with a Sony DAB radio unit and sits on the original road wheels with new tyres. The history file contains the handbook, invoices, the V5C registration certificate, numerous MOT test certificates including the current which expires 7.3.2012. The road fund licence expires 31.8.2011.
As Gene Hunt would say: “Fire up the Quattro, Raymondo”!

Guide: £6000 - 7000
