Default 200 idle probs

recent running prob on my 200 with ur 20 3b engine,
on warm up its runs for a bit then conks out, when warm it runs better, but even better with the aux air valve disconnected,
no boost leaks, new white and black pin sensors at the back of the head,
question is does the aav on the motronic have a constant power feed or does it vary?
if so what controls it?
i have also changed the aav, but to no avail, it runs ok with the aav disconnected ,,, but i need to know
oh and today the push rod on the clutch master snapped , in the middle of wolverhampton, had to use the starter to get it going and crash change it home....
oh what a day

mine was rough on starting from cold until i replaced the Lambda probe. Also are you sure non of the small vac / pressure hoses at back of inlet have perished /crushed?

Ah, MAF. HAd issues with mine too though in my case it would idle but as soon as I opened the throttle it died. Disconnecting the MAF will improve idle as it will cause the ECU to run on set internal parameters which sounds to me that you have either a MAF fault or other external sensor down if you can guarantee no intake leaks.

Check the idle switch is engaging (so it knows it's SUPPOSED to be idling) and then pull the ECU fuses to clear all codes, restart and pull the real codes.

right, new hall senders x2, new plug leads, new rotor arm, new dizzy cap. and finally re wired the warm up sensor [white pin /back of the head], and we have a smooth idle , turns out my rotor arm, had contacted the internals on the cap , ,,, well you can imagine,[my fault, as i had not replaced it properly]
all seems well, only the maf and lambda to go ,[budget]
just as well i have aquired,,,,,,,,,,,
