it's absolute boll***s. Another nail in Gordon's coffin.

How to make yorself unpopular with the masses.

It will just hit "normal" people with family cars hardest, rather than guiding you which car to buy when buying a new car.

Applying it restrospectively is crap. Let's tax people who have 12 windows in their house.

Or people who have 4 bicycles.

Or other random things.

It is crap, our daily is a 2001 saab 9-5 estate, misses the deadline by 3 months! so will probably be an extra £200 a year. Now tell me the difference between mine and the same car 3 months older???
As you say coxy classics are the way to go, no tax, cheaper insurance etc etc and I would argue a damn sight more enviromentally friendly, 1 car 30 years use or a new eurobox every 3 years?

Now all I've got to do is convince the wife that the 72 silver shadow is a bargin and she won't look a lemon driving it to morrisons!!!
