57k-MILE SURVIVOR: Rare 1991 Audi 20V Turbo Quattro Avant

This Pearl white 20V Turbo Quattro Station Wagon must be one of the cleanest original examples of the approximately 150 20V Audi Avant’s produced. This model was a Prototype for the Audi S4 introduced the next year in 1992. It was the first production Audi in this country to use the 20V turbo engine that is known to be the legendary bulletproof engine and 5 speed Quattro drive train designed for the famous and very successful Audi Quattro race and rally cars. One of those Quattro’s won the Pikes Peak Hill climb several years before and they subsequently banned the car the next year because it was unbeatable. Also the 1988 SCCA Trans-Am series was so dominated by the huge 4-door Audi 200 Quattro Sedan that they tried a 200lb. weight penalty on the Audi at mid season and then, at the end of the season, decided to ban all-wheel cars from Trans-Am.

This 20V Turbo engine has never been chipped, has been meticulously maintained, and is complexly original and very strong. The black leather sport seats are in excellent condition as are the original floor mats and the rest of the interior. It has two sets of the special factory wheels for winter and summer tires.

The car is a great mountain and turnpike cruiser and is as perfect as any 57,000 mile car could be. It is one of the best Snow and Ski cars available, much better than my SUV’s because of the handling and full time all-wheel drive. I am 75 years old and have decided after 63 years of skiing that it was time to quit. I am including my Thule roof Ski box, bars and mounting system worth $600. Find it here in Denver, Colorado for $14,500, obo.

We all read articles, written by experts, advising us to purchase the best original car available rather than one that has been altered or is in need of restoration. You would certainly spend more to restore another car to this level and you would still have a car with more that 3 to 4 times’s this mileage.

Hi,

are you sure it has never been sold to the UK? I have seen a UK 220V TQ sedan in real life (I have pictures as well). Did they never sell a 220VTQ Avant?

Bastian

PS: I have announced it for you on audifans.com as well (many 220V drivers from the US)

PS: Announce it on audifans.com (there is 220vq mailing list as well) - most people are from the US there, you will more probably find somebody willed to spend the money you'd like to have.
there was/is a thread about this posted up the other week as there are a difference of opinion on this matter.

As far as I know, it was never commercially sold in the UK.
Crisarc does have one but that is a conversion.

Yep! Coxy's Da Man!!

It was never sold over here in the UK, only 10v 200's were ever sold here in the UK, an' I'm sure if we ask ever so nicely, he'll produce his data sheet that will say so... (He usually does! )
