Default Cam cover gaskets for a Ur

Ordered a new gasket and the one that's arrived says it's for a WH engine code and 1921cc engine

a) I can't think of any Audi with that capacity
b) I specifically gave him the reg no and model year of the Wr... So can I use this gasket ir is it the wrong one?

Cheers

does it go faster with the red cover on..now....???

on a side note.. the haynes book i have says

(in relation to replacing cork gaskets with rubber ones)

''the first time you replace a cork one with a rubber one you should fit a new valve cover''.... why...????????????????

mine has a cork one, which im pretty sure, when the car was new, was probably a rubber one.. mine is too late for cork, i think..august 1991..(?)

need a rubber one...!!()

Because it's easy to distort the cover by overtorquing it, especially if there are no reinforcing strips.

Two lumps of hardwood and a large tapometer will fix it.

ahh

the rubber gasket on my 2.0L RT engine has little steel rings built in (to prevent you from distorting the cover..?) the cork ones have no steel rings..?

all of mine have reinforcing strips
