this morning i got a price to bring a car frm shifnal to within 20miles of my house in donegal, cost to me 250stg very reasonable i must say, BUT a few months ago i was trying to get a car lifted in portlaiose in the same country im in! and struggled to get anyone willing to do it for any less than 400euros which in the current exchange rate is more, which leaves a project expensive b4 u get started on it at all, very frustrating
![]() just wanted to have a wee rant so thanks for listening![]() ![]() ![]() |

From someone who works in the rip off car transport industry, £250 fro somewhere near Shifnal to yours is a bargain!
Almost enough change left to buy a green 80 ![]() |

Pretty sad really... it costs less than £1000 to get a car from Southampton UK to Brisbane Australia!

Actually, it's pretty dear to get a car shifted within the UK too. Especially if it's a non-runner.
It only takes a couple of moves at that kind of money to make buying a towbar and trailer a practical proposition....... |
