Default Wheel bolts and stud conversions

We're in the process of changing over the RallyRep to wheel studs, one reason is to accept the alterations to the cars track, but it's also slightly out of necessity really... Only the wheel bolts are like this...

Whilst the R8 Alloy wheels should have radius seat bolts... So put simply, the wheel bolts aren't actually sitting correctly to hold the wheel. The stud conversion nuts will be the correct radius type.

The back face of the alloy will be fitted with Eibach 15mm spacers through the stud conversion. So this should give an ET of about 22.

Will be good to be a bit fatter again.

Just make sure that your wheel bearings are in good condition or have been replaced. 15mm may not sound much but the next thing you could be hearing is a metallic screeching on cornering.

Fortunately John, the bearings have all been changed in the last 24 months or so since I've owned it. I suspect I might have to look at the inner lip of the rear arches though. But that's not a problem, we've done that before with my old GT...

This is a stopgap really though, eventually the arches will go plastic and 5 bolt hubs... But before all that, (and assuming the Ur's rebuild is a success), I'll get the various bits here built up as a 10vT lump with EFi for it.

Who are you getting the studs from?

Wheel bolts can be a PITA.
