Default Quattro interior gearshift mechanism.

Asked this question elsewhere, got no answers, so here goes again.

The internal gearshift mechanism on the Ur; does the metal bracket that fixes it to the transmission tunnel have any spacers or standoffs to raise it?

Im asking this because on stripping down quasi's mech, i found the bottom of the gearstick was touching the tunnel when selecting reverse.
Ive changed out as many of the components as the NLA parts division will allow yet im still getting this contact when reverse is selected ( when you push the stick down).

I cant see anything thatd indicate a part is missing and the shifter otherwise is fine.
Oh, one other thing- the nut that secures the stick to the selector lever ( that goes thru the tunnel to the box) is that standard? It dosent quite look "right" to me somehow with a metal to nylon contact like that.

Has anyone got a diagram of the parts-Etka i could take a look at perhaps?

1983 wr, DA chassis code. Thanks in advance.

The CQ / GT have a lot of parts on the mechnism that are common to the UR, you'll probably be able to get these from a GT breaker.....
