Question Boot Leaks!

i have the audi 80 coupe 92 "k" i had a leak in the boot, i replaced the boot seals and still have it, it isn't the washer bottle or the rear window, i think it might be coming from the driver side rear light unit, i recently replaced this but think the seal may not be perfect but i'm struggling to find one, has anyone got any clues or links to where i can get these new? cheers stephen.

Changing rear lights without that stuff, which is used there, is like changing water pump without new gasket - leak is almost inevitable
Well, stuff used there is like this:

I can get it in local shop for something like gbp per meter. If new cars doesn't use it, so it's unaviable in ordinary british car shop, go to the nearest audi dealer, they must provide similar stuff. I only know that Auto Riga sells similars stuff for 3-4x bigger price and purchaser must buy whole roll of it, which is, don't remember, 10 or 20 m
P.S. These seals on rear lights are crucial, I have even seen pictures of 91 coupe, which had HUGE hole in left corner My A90q have also heavily rusted out left side of boot because no one before me interested about it so I will have to reweld it in future

The correct name of this stuff is: Butyl Tape.

You can probably get it from a motor factors, but be aware that other car makers also use it, so itd likely be possible to get it elsewhere.
