The passenger side front carpet in my Audi 100 is constantly wet, im trying to track down where the water is coming in from but does anyone know if its a commen fault with these models?
Im fed up of scraping ice from the INSIDE of the screen!

Could be a couple of things.
The first and simplest place to check is the plastic membrane that sits between the door metal and the interior door cards. Whip off the door card and see if the membrane is damaged or peeling away from the metal part of the door. It can even be the drain holes at the bottom of the door being blocked. Other than that it could be a sign of a knackered heater matrix - more involving to fix to be honest.

sunroof drains blocked or door window seals leaking allowing water inside the door.... I have soaking carpet and it originates from halfway up the Apillar (you can tell by lifting carpet and seeing where the sound deadening is wet up to).

Thanks, lots of leads there! Its deffo not the sunroof though, as it hasnt got one.
The door seals sounds interesting. The passenger doors have had a scrape at some point and have filler at the bottom. Ill have to check to see if the drain holes have been obstructed.

try sealing around windscreen rubber/ aperture, using grease in an old mastic tube. forcing nozzle under rubber and filling with grease. worked on my ur and gti. or try moving striker plate in on door so door closese tighter on door.

Check around/in front of Battery - if ever a previous battery has been allowed to 'leak' it may have eaten through either gromits and/or body work.
