Default What I like about this forum

Not wanting to be a "brown nose", but what i like about this foum:
  • there's quite a few middle aged (and younger!) blokes (and ladies) having a laugh and messin around
  • no ones got an axe to grind or likes to talk down to others
  • no ones taking themselves or the forum too seriously, but will still help others out
after all, we all like old Audis, with no elitism, so its doesn't matter here if you've got a mint 20v or a clapped out 80, everybody is welcome.

Its nice to see how"busy" this site is, whilst other forums which don't have all the above are going quite.
Cheers

Very true Stu.
And there's (touch wood) no sniping or bitching, which seems to be unfortunately becoming more and more prevalent on certain other forums.

Nothing crap about Jap stuff Nigel, i should know, ive had the same jap car for 8 years- no complaints at all.

It is a great place Coxy's nurtured though, lots to see, friendly, lively conversation, wide variety of people from different walks of life etc.
Catgooms avatar is the main reason i come here tho....drives you silly if you stare at it long enough.

Here Here I have no technical knowledge what so ever, but i feel comfortable posting and not getting flamed for my posts either.

I have also had the pleasure of meeting a few of the members in person and they are lovely in real life too.

At the moment its up on axle stands in the garage, waiting for a load of studs to arrive and new gaskets, sorting the coilovers out at the moment as one was completley fooked, then theres the clutch to remove and then I can finish off the POR 15 paint work on the inner wheel archs and chassis

hopefully Coxy & Moderators would stamp that out as soon as it raised its head from the pulpit.

Another reason I dont spend much time "next door" these days, certain folk think they're above everyone else and seem to take great delight talking down to people who are not as " qualified" as they are.....

Anyway yes I agree that this forum is fresh and pleasant to exchange topics of conversation, ideas, asking for help etc and long may it continue....

1 gripe though or perhaps I havent found it and that is, is that we dont have a "shoutbox"
or a facility to converse with other members "live".... Coxy perhaps this could be concidered a future feature?

Nige..... what did you get banned for on the "other forum"

Looking forward to meeting more of us as the year passes.

B.Z to Coxy for making this forum what it now is

Well anyone who knows me will know that I am actually responsible for the creation of one the huge "other forums" but as we all know they're full of bitching and sniping and simply too big for thier own good, so I quit and joined here..

And I must say it's brilliant, I just get the feeling we're all singing from the same hymnsheet if you see what I mean.
