Washer bottle pump probs......HELP ?

Washer bottle pump not been working for a while now

.

Decided to sort it today..... Its got 12v coming to it from stalk so pump is duff !!! Stealer want £65 for another !!!!!

.

Question..... How does it come out of tank (if at all?) and does anyone know where i can source one from or if anyone has one

pics attatched.

Need to sort before a week on Friday as car is havin a run out to North wales

sometimes its just a rubber o-ring/seal....push fit....

what car is it......??

last one i did was a yaris though......

Yeah, I agree, it should just pull out either up or to the side. Try a local motor factors for one, £65 seems a bit steep.

mine is push-fit........1992 100 avant.

prise out carefully with a screwdriver......??

doesnt it just sit inside a very tight grommet.i normally remove the whole bottle and just lever out with a open ring spanner as its not an old car it should'nt be brittle so all the best.always works for me (grrr)brute force rules

buy a washer pump with 2 outlets ie one that does not sit in the res. bottle, mount it inbetween the original pump and the washer pipe it will draw the washer fluid through the old pump (of course you need a bit of pipe from old pump to new ) this will keep you going until you can find a second hand / reasonable priced new one

The one on the H reg 100 2.3E died a few weeks ago. I replaced it with one off an e28 BMW 5 series (had some bits left after I broke one up for parts to repair mine last summer). The pump was about 6mm taller, but it fitted perfectly and works fine. I don't know if the later BMWs have the same kind of pump, but it might be worth a look if you are near a breakers yard.
I took the duff Audi one apart and all that was actually wrong was that there was some rust in the motor, so it couldn't rotate. I freed it and it seems to work. I tested it indoors on a 9v calculator battery.

On this one I just prised the grey end cover off with a small sharp screwdriver.
