Default Favour from someone with a CQ

Anybody got a CQ nearby they can do a quick favour for me? I need to know the droop and compression figures for a stock CQ front strut.

Need to know the dimension from centre of wheel to the top nut for damper with car on the ground (with engine etc weight on it), and with car jacked up so wheel is off the ground and suspension is at full droop.

If somebody is able to get these dimensions for me this week theres a beer in it for you!

Cheers

Just out of interest Jay, are you after static sag figures for setting up coilovers ?

Derek - need on car figures really to do some maths, but thank you for offering

Darren - I'm calculating damper properties and dimensions as I'll need shortened dampers but firmer setup than stock so wanting to find the compromise. Getting data from a CQ will allow me to see how much travel is expected on stock then by uprating it I can form a baseline. Can only fit 5" springs on the golf so dampers will be drastically shorter, but dont want them too short that they bottom out (hence firmer springs and dampers should cure this).

I dont have complete struts or a whole car I can measure from sadly.

Shame you didn't mention it when out in the Rep on Sunday Morning... Mind, I suppose you might have done, but I just didn't hear you....
