Default 88 90q altenator change. help ? ?

hey folks, does any one know if the alternator from a 1988 100 cs sport will fit and work on my half share of the 1988 90q. it decided last night it had had enough and as it my daily runner i need to fix it asap. i've had a look at the two of them and they look slightly diferent, the one on the 100 looks like it has some sort of ram air for cooling but the one on the 90q doesnt have that

please can somone help

thanks

hi ian, like the pics of the birds, wee man loves him. he say's we've to get a barn owl and keep it out the back door lol. any way thanks for the number, phoned him but couldnt get an answer, after looking at the two of them closely i think their the same but one of the securing bolts on the 90 snapped as i was trying to un do it so im now awaiting the arrivel off a drill to drill it out lol. once thats done it shouldnt take long to swap them over and hopefully that will be it sorted

jst to let anyone who was watching thi thread know that the alternator from the 100 and the 90q are actually slightly different. so unfortunately to start with the alternator didnt fit. however, i then decided to make a good one from the two i had, so i split the two of them and then used the housing from the old one and fitted to the one from the 100, a slight adjustment to the wires and hey presto one alternator working as it should. lets see how long this one lasts lol
