Window tints!

I went down to a local car cruising place today just with a mate to park up have a few doughnuts a cup of coffee. Next thing I know the cops pull up in front of me and start questioning my exhaust and window tints!

They tell me I am getting three points for the tints and that they are going to pull a machine out to test the noise of my exhaust. I was like "When the **** has the law changed about all this lark etc" He tells me that it has always been illegal to have window tints.

So basically they said to me, pull your tints off or get three points. I was like feck it pull them off, they tried and they could only manage to tear them a bit. They turned around and said well you co-operated with us and OK we cannot get your tints off, take them off within the next few days & don't let us catch you having them re-tinted!

I can live without the front windows tinted, glad I did not get three points. I am contemplating of getting the front windows tinted again.... opinions?

Hmmmm Factory window tints are ok, its the after market ones that the bizz are after as they are usually way too dark if you do your back 1/4 windows and rear screen you should be ok..........front and passinger windows are a no no

Legally the front and side windows have to allow 70% of light to pass through them

if they are very dark you get done they are ment to use some form of light device to see how much daylight is let in through the tints. Also if you do go to car cruises in local car parks you will always get hasle from the old bill as a kid from work gose to them alot and the cops are always pulling them
