two different headlights

F**K ME, just when everything was coming together nicely, i realise my coupe quattro is sporting two different front lamps! having not passed any remarks until now, i find that my drivers side headlight is the wrong one, it looks identical but is flatter and dosnt sit flush with the grill

are coupe quattro lights the same as gt ones or are there lots of variations?

Sounds like one is pre-facelift [typ81] and one is post-facelift [typ85].

My 90 TDs headligts similarly was different, but enough only the glass replace.

The same as :
-1983-84 = quattro, 80 quattro and Coupe
-1984- = quattro , 90 , 90 quattro ,Coupe, Coupe quattro
