Nice pic!...Do I detect a little bit of arch flairing having been carried out on that front wing?......Was that car run at the same time as the Coxnnifords car. Same colour scheme and sponsors?

Looking at the driver/co-driver stickers its not melleroth but michel, which for the 87 RAC came up with this....

R 22 Martin Ericsson/Reinhard Michel Audi 90 Quattro
Theres no reason given for retirement though? But the car you have quoted is a Coupe Quattro not a 90 quattro, yet reg is same......
I suspect foul play

So i dug a little deeper and found this:

Quote:
#22. M. Ericsson H. Michel #22 80 90 Quattro
SS16 fuel pump
So there you go......

Also if its of any interest, i cant back up the legitimacy of this text but it may give an insight...

facinating numbers there, thanks Jay...

She was making pretty good power for a N/A 2226cc 5pot, but the most interesting bit for me is the weight... Even if that's a dry weight, that's pretty light. If it's running weight, then I'd love to know where they lost it from...

What would you have to do to a standard kv engine, to get just over 100 bhp more??
