Default Off colour headlamps.

Has anyone come across a soloution or product to sort a slightly dis-coloured headlamp ?? the previous owner of my coupe changed one unit at the cost of £132 from Audi and this has left me with a noticable difference but there's no way i'm shelling out that amount of cash for something purely cosmetic........ Ideas/suggestions much appreciated as i'd like her to look good for the Breakfast club at the weekend.

Hi Pablo and welcome here mate!

Best colour you have there...

I have a 94 Coupe myself and have done my headlamps.

OK,what I did was this.....

Unclip the headlamp lenses, theres a few metal clips all the way round them.Cant remember if you have to remove the headlight to do this.If you do,take it out!

Once out,you can obviously clean the inside of the glass.I use Autoglym Fast Glass.I clayed mine first, that was only on the outside though.

Dont try rubbing the chromey plastic reflector behind the bulb though. It will remove the surface of the reflecty stuff

On the outside of the glass once refitted I'd clay it,as this improves vision and they look surprisingly new after this. Then the glass cleaner, then buff off.

Sounds a bit anal, but does last, and makes a big difference.

Have fun matey!

Steve
