Default Our local Geriatrics - Bin Day fixation...

Our local Geriatrics

Do my head in…

It was bin day this morning, they’re always here just after 8am, the bins have to be at ‘curbside’ that’s the rule, we like rules in Sussex; so our local Geriatrics put the bins out on Friday, ready for Monday, I assume on the off chance they might croak over the weekend and get told off for breaking said Rule.

But, and this is the best bit, this morning, having had the bins out the front all weekend, 2 of them stood there and watched the blokes empty it.

Now I might be getting no younger, but I’m astonished that the highlight of the week, and the whole ‘purpose’ of life, is to get the bins out.

It really does do my head in…. Why can't they just chuck the bins out on Sunday evening like everyone else?

worries me as to who the real nerds are here.

Those old folk who get their bins out ready for the Monday morning collection, or those younger folk who spend their time peering through the curtains and monitor what the old folk are doing on both the Friday afternoons and the Monday mornings!

I have a degree in human physiology from the University of Life, so I’ve got to practice occasionally.

its those said geriatrics that remind me when we have to the green or the blue wheelie bins out as well as the weekly black un as without fail the night before they line em up curbside....saves me bothering to look at when they are due to be collected

This is piss one funny thread Ian!!!!!!!!!!
Mass Lolage to the masses indeed, through Raudi Portal Facilitation!

My old man spends the whole of Monday carrying every bit of rubbish individually to the outside prepared bin. This gives him an excuse to go out of the front door more frequently to see what everyone else is doing!!
Utter mindwrongery!

The answer is simple Ian.
They seriously have nothing better to do.

We must all make sure we have plenty of cash and car projects lined up when we all retire I reckon....

Wrist reciprocators the lot of em!

They are fantastic. I took the Old Dear shopping on Friday afternoon as she's been 'poorly' for a fortnight with a very heavy cold. Jesus H Christ what a flamin fiasco. Now she normally shops at Tesco, period, but afetr a morning at work I really didn't fancy kicking some ones head in at Tesco so suggested we head to Morrisons in Market Drayton, just down the road from mine. I have never heard anyone moan all the way around the entire shop. Cries of ' this is expensive' or ' why don't they sell these like Tesco's do'...............you get me drift. Plus it seemed just about every 'recently retired' couple was out in force dawdling around in the matching Khaki gillets and Cotton Traders slip ons. I know we all have to get old but hells teeth I sure as shit ain't gonna follow the stereotypical old git.
