Hi all,
I think the ISV on my Avant's KU engine needs removing and cleaning. I've never done this before and my Haynes manual is no use. Is it really a simple matter of just disconnecting the wiring at the connector and pulling it away from the rubber hoses? I'm just wary of there being hidden pitfalls when doing this job. Someone out there must have done this. Any tips will be appreciated. ![]() |

Yes, just remove in the obvious way. Use carburetor cleaner to clean out the ISV
Cleaning out the breather hoses is a good idea too (while you have it apart), have a look here http://www.kvquattro.com/techdocs/breather.html and http://www.kvquattro.com/breatherHoses.html |
