Default Need a brake servo for my B2 80

Hi guys & girls,

After a strange problem where my car shudders when stationary with the foot brake on, the issue appears to be the servo.

Any ideas where I can get one?

(GSF, Euro Car Parts & Main dealer don't list anything, and I've tried a couple of Audi breakers with no joy)

Hi, which model of the B2? I think when they moved servo to o/s on facelift version they changed servo slightly? Certainly has different fluid reservoir. I may have s/hand servo if desperate, although car was laid up for a long time before being removed, but may be worth a try. It is one from a 1.8 Coupe, which is equivalent to post facelift B2. Cheers. G.

Thanks for the offer, but my car is a 1981 model so it doesn't sound like it's the same part.

The mechanic who's got the car at the moment has found a new one, but at £200 + VAT it seems a bit steep (that's more than I paid for the car!!)

I have a servo, master cylinder & bias valve in the garage. When I get a few minutes I let you know any part #'s to see if its the same.

Most appreciated.

The servo on my car doesn't appear to have a part number on it anywhere though

Another.

If this is suitable make me an offer. I guess the postage would be £15. If you are going to Castle Combe in July I could meet you there.
