Unhappy N/S Headlight for 1986 GT...deer accident!

Came into contact with a rather large deer last night, did their usual thing of standing by the side of the road on their starting blocks waiting for a car to come along!

Does anyone have a N/S headlight I could purchase please? The mounts are broken on mine so I've drilled several through the plastic that remains so I can cable tie it into position but this isn't ideal!

Deer oh deer! Mind you it could have been a lot worse. If you gatecrash Martc's thread you might find someone who has one in their stash. Either that or try Audicoupeparts on here

blimey, I though pheasants were bad, never ever hit a deer in my life. What happened? Was there much blood and gore?

Hi all! Thanks for your replies, concerns and help in getting a new headlight! Deer died, hit it at about 40-50mph which consequently pushed the headlight right in and cut the wing slightly which folded back on itself! Sorry, don't have any photos of the dead deer (it was dark at the time) and I did a temporary bodge repair the morning after. Will probably take you up on the offer Dave if that's ok. Preferably want one that's not looking tired (grey/rusty reflectors). In Newquay this weekend so will speak to you when I get back. Thanks!

Thats EXACTLY what happened to my GT?...scary...I was lucky. It knocked the headlamp back into the car,
breaking the mounting brackets and creasing the corner of the wing. Ive since had it repaired tho, and had to drill into the headlamp to attach another bracket!.I got away lightly..could have been a lot worse. Other than breaking the mountings and creasing the corner it did no other damage.

(Pic taken after straightning headlamp back)

Perhaps it was the same animal..probably got something against Audis!..
