Default What summer body treatment does your car receive?

Yo!

I just wondered if you guys out there make some special efforts on your cars due to the time of year...

I know I get pretty flippin' anal with my Limey!

I usually go over all wheelarches using the same Zymol as I do to clean the bodyshell. Each May I do this and its surprising how little of the clag is stuck due to maintenance in winter with pressure washer and last yrs efforts.Cant beat seeing the body colour in the arches.Makes it look 100% nicer and more original a-la-Coxy's bronze 80 if you all remember the King's wicked detaill on that.

The shuts get waxed all year round but special attention is made under bonnet right down to chassis legs, using same Zymol wash again.I dont go a whole hog on snowfoaming under bonnet just cos I cant see as much of a result as when I do it all using rags, scrubbing and toothbrushes,Duraglit wadding for ABS pump etc etc

A lot might say it is a lot OTT,but it makes her look like a 2 year old car with 183000 miles worth of chips, instead of a 15 year old car with the same!

I usually treat it to a huge dose of fly splats, that tends to help the overall effect of the 'used' look... But this year, to protect the excruciatingly rare interior and with mind of the horrendous NLA situation... I felt the risk of running the car throughout the UV drenched Summer, here on the Scorching South Coast, was too much, So I decided to do this...

I'd suggest you do the same to protect the interior from unnecessary UV damage...

I must be lazy!

I give mine a no touch power wash and a wipe over with quick detailer about once every 2-3 weeks at a push and that's me lot.

If I'm feeling a bit more generous, I'll go round the black trim with some Back to Black and add some tyre gloss dressing just to finish her off, but no longer than 1/2 an hour tops!

To be fair though, they would have had a full polish and wax before hand as it's so much easier to keep on top of it then.

Damn, you're going to get snowblindness with that amount of white. Black would have been better.
