MB project on fleabay

Anyone interested in a project? I just noticed this earlier. Anyone know the car? I can’t quite read the registration F822E**.

Is it actually an MB? Boot script would indicate late WR.

You could be right. I had assumed an F plate would be an MB the write up says it’s 2226cc

I suspect it's probably an MB if it's a 1988 and 2226cc. My MB was a 1987 E plate.

Going by the condition of that arch, you'll be spending a lot more than 12k to get that close to being ready for the road.

Indeed... The rust will be right through outer and inner wing structures and probably down to the boot floor.

I’m not convinced about the “three years” off the road. That looks considerably longer unless Frimley is now sub-tropical.

I really want that, but not for £12k. I know that's probably the going rate these days, but I can't bring myself to do it. Don't like the bonnet though.
