Question Help with coupe quattro relays

I need some help here folks, water has got into electrics on my recent find as its sat for a long time. Its an E plate coupe quattro,i took the relays out on the nearside dash to see if i could dry them out ,they were making a whinning sound and water was actually coming out of them, several fuses have blown.Trouble is i cant remember the order they go back in they've all got numbers on,they might be fried anyway! the battery warning light is permanently on(bad earth or battery drain) Is there a diagram available to show relay positions and numbers, please be patient with me as this is all new learning for me.

Look on the rear of the glovebox fusecover- theres a relay diagram usually on the back of it.

I think you've summed it up there unfortunately Ian...

I wouldn't try anything until it's thoroughly dried out, you might do more damage than good.

Have a plod round with a multi-meter too. That might give you some pointers for which relays are open and which are closed.

It'll be a long slow job though Ian.

If you put up the numbers of the relays you have, I'll tell you where each one should go.
