Default Ashamed to admit I like these.

These must be rare now, although common as shite back in the day.
I have a soft spot for these as I had one as my first car, an '84 A Reg in Caspian Blue. I bought another, on a B Reg, in late 2007, and was quite shocked just how crap they were. Rose tinted specs and all that.

To think that I sold my 55 Plate Volvo V70 D5 SE for less than these two pile's of shite....

You should be, wash your mouth out.

My friend had an escort eclipse, in blue... someone nicked it and did a crap in the back seat. It's amazing we're all still alive having driven around in these tin cans.

Be ashamed Ken, very ashamed, you need to go and have a strong word with yourself whilst you contemplate the error of your ways. I cannot believe on a dedicated Audi site the temerity of some members who come on here expounding the benefits and values of 'other' brands............Sorry over reacting again.

Still im not ashamed to have a very soft spot for one of these despite never owning one.

Ha ha...I'm laughing at myself tho' as I came close to viewing an XR4x4 at tail end o'last year....as I have no money cos it's getting spent on my Aby S2, I stopped myself (only had 6 of them back in the day! )

Ken
I'm with you a bit on the grounds of nostalgia - they were everywhere back in the day, but this model Orion always managed to look slightly distinctive, especially in Ghia trim.

They were a very ordinary drive, but good in every way compared to the Mk4 Escort and Orion model which followed in about 1990/91 - that was appalling

I'm ashamed to admit I HAD one of these!!! It's true, I did. And it was an awful car, I got as part payment for a job and got rid 2 months later. Horrid car to drive.
