Default Modern technology

I've just had a mild technology mind blowing session, A very good friend of mine has just given me a ring from his work desk. Nothing amazing there, apart from the fact his desk is on a surveying vessel just north of the falkland islands. It's quite impressive that you can pick up a phone, on a boa,t in the middle of nowhere, and have a perfectly normal converstion. My phone rang with an aberdeen area code as that is where the office is !

I still find things like television and radio are very clever when you actually sit down and think about it over a beer or 2!!

When you think about it, it seems incredible just how much telecommunications has come forward on the past 20 years. Decades of phones with danglie wires and now you can call from anywhere and use satellite signals and still be able to ring yer mom!

Microwaves are another one of those stupid clver inventions!!
Porridge Oats ready in 2 minutes with no mess, who'd have thought it!

and don't gte me started on Pot Noodles or the Wonderbra!!

Our fridge has a light..... Does that count?

And a mate of mine married and then divorced, Miss-flatter-squarer-tube-1987....

She was a bit androgynous for my liking... He likened it to shagging a Victorian cast iron radiator.

The only entertainment I need from our kitchen is wathing the kids fight over who's turn it is to wash up. They keep asking me to get a dish washer, but why would I when I have several!

Silence is often the best approach... Especially when it comes to hair...
