On the moon subject, why is it that the moon appears bigger in the day and smaller at night, it's the same size and the same distance from earth (well more or less)

Nice shot micky. I had a bit of a bad dream and woke up at 2.45am to find the moonlight streaming in the window.
Was very very bright last nght, kind of surreal almost but very beautiful to see as well.

I took this one a couple of years ago thru the bresser telescope that lives under the bed....

i wish my camera could zoom that far thats the sort of pic i was looking for but havent got the right stuff to do it with .so i will nick yours

Wow, what a great pic! You can see that famous crater too. (forget its name..)
