Does anyone have a set of genuine roadsprings from a ur quattro kicking about? Ideally from an mb or rr but anything considered. I am looking to remove some lowering springs cos they're far too firm for sheffields atrocious roads. I'm also interested in firming up a coupe quattro (type85) for track use but I'd like to retain the original ride height or at least go no lower than a standard ur. If anyone can help with parts or advice I would be grateful.
Cheers, Dan. Last edited by Jenks; 15-10-13 at 11:20 AM. |

I've got a set on my wr you can have for nowt.........
Only catch is they are still on the car and they are yours if you take them off and put the uprated springs and bilsteins on in their place which came with it! Ah well, worth a cheeky punt anyway!! |

Yes I had though of that but wasn't sure if the height difference between ur & cq was in the legs or the springs or both. At the moment the two cars are about 12 miles apart and one is on a mates drive and cant be left immobilised so comparing things is a bit awkward. Due to my scatterbrained approach to the many projects I have I need to make sure that I can successfully complete a task before I start otherwise I give up and leave them in bits for ages and until I get my own heated 'quattruple' garage (which isnt likley soon) I can't.
