For Sale
Silver Audi 200 Quattro Avant, less than 80,000 genuine miles. This car was taken off the road 8 years ago for brake problems and is currently on SORN, all documents available. Last week I resurrected the car, drained the stale fuel and put in fresh petrol and renewed the fuel pump so the car starts and drives off the key. The bodywork is 100% complete and in very good condition, the interior is half leather and again in good condition, except the roof lining which has become detached at the rear. Engine and mechanicals all fine, but braking system untouched and needs tyres. The only other fault I know about is the drivers door handle which has lost the actuating lever. Pictures available via email if you contact me on ianbrown11252@googlemail.com, and you can ring me on 07765 427511 for more details. I will be out of the country, on holiday, from the 17th to the 22nd July and wont have my mobile with me. Any reasonable offer accepted Any inspection welcomed, car for sale elsewhere so be quick...... |

Hi everyone
hard to think that no one wants a complete running car in very good condition, apart from brakes, for £200. Just to add it is a 10v 2.1 intercooled turbo engine, quattro drivetrain, half leather, electric seats, cruise control, air con etc etc. If someone wanted a replacement engine - that in itself must be worth saving? I am a classic car fan, so seems a shame that I may have to scrap the car as I dont have the space to keep or break it myself. I will be back from holiday on the 22nd, and if no takers, its going to the scrap yard. The car is in Evesham, Worcestershire, if that helps......... |

That looks bloody lovely! Is it manual or auto?

Hi
its a manual. It will be going to the scrap yard after I have taken the battery and a few other bits off in the morning, unless you want it and can collect it this week. Regards Ian |

I cant collect this week, Im off on a stag do this weekend! It would be such a pity to see it cubed.
What work does it need on the brakes exactly?

Front and rear calipers are sticking, the handbrake mechanism in the rear calipers is seized, and I suspect the original fault was with the master cylinder. On top of that it will need tyres and attention to the headlining in the rear passenger compartment. As I mentioned earlier, the drivers door handle is missing the external activating lever. Other than that, the car seems to very good.
However, I'm still going up there in an hour or so with a view to removing a few parts and scrapping it before it starts costing me money to store it. If you want it, be quick...... Kind Regards Ian |

I dont know when I could get down to you, so to avoid any potential time wasting and messing about im going to have to decline.
Such a pity, looks like it would have made a good project, such low mileage too!
