Windscreen for 100 turbo type 44

Mines cracked so need another. If one is going cheap that would be great.

Car is in a project state so cannot go through insurance. While its stripped I thought about fitting another screen with a mate.

Impossible to rescue a secondhand one due to the bright moulding around the edge, it has 'claws' on the back that snag the cheese-wire used on normal screens.

think the last new one I bought was about £100, cash n carry, from National Windscreens.

To rescue the brightwork and it's dust seal first you have to reduce the glass to sugar/dust all around the edge.

That will allow access with a long, sharp blade to cut the bonding around the frame.

I'll add- new screens can be bought. Pilkington still supply on make to order to the likes of national.
It's the trim that you can't get, unless you sacrifice the look, and use T4 rubber trim. But I've not seen how that looks yet.

Also found out a friend on facebook works for Auto Windscreens, so I'll get a price from him and hopefully he can do the job so wont be too much bother.
