Default What to do?

My hankering for an Audi is now starting to approach fever pitch.

The thought of sitting in a coupe again, maybe even a quattro is starting to cloud my dreams, and possibly my judgement! however, i have a bit of a quandry regarding this.

There are some specialist engineering tools i feel i could/should aquire in order to make me more accomplished vis-a-vis engine work.
Only problem is if i go out and get the car, it means id probably blow the meagre budget and although id be in 5banger heaven, itd likely put me back some in terms of what i could handle on the mechanical side.
The flipped out side of that is if i go buy the tooling ( expensive) then i cant get the car....darnit.

The logical, sensible side of me says get the tooling then the car, the other side says bugger the tooling get the car...

And theres me stuck in the bloody middle being pulled one way then the t'other.
A most disagreeable situation to find oneself.

Think ill have to wait for both of em. :

Suggestions/comments/solutions/insults appreciated.....

if you are going to buy then after Christmas could be a good time. It's a buyers market at the moment. Have just been looking at Honda CRX's. A mint VTEC fsh, origial spec and low owners would have cost £4000 12 months ago and they are now down by about £1000

Toss a coin, heads the car tails the tools, your instant reaction to the result will confirm your true desire.

On the other hand, getting a car and performing some magic on it will be a true showcase.

are you planning on opening a servicing facility for older cars? or just for self use?

IF for self use then buy the car first.... ENJOY using it and then see what tooling you need.

Just by the car! Enjoy it for a bit, then start messing with the engine!

Then enjoy it a bit more!!!

Depending on what your budget is Tony, you could do both. There was that nice Coupe quatt at the last brekkie club, he only wanted 600 quid for it, I believe.
